Designed and marketed by Michael Creek's company "Epoz", the small AktiMates impress from the very first note: equipped with a 120mm bass/mid-range driver, a 19mm tweeter dome and 40 watts of amplifier power each, the two play incredibly precisely and powerfully.
And the special thing: thanks to the integrated power amplifiers, you don't need an amplifier to operate the speakers. The AktiMates, combined with an MP3 player or computer, replace the entire stereo system.

Various connection options are available for the source devices. An iPod can be plugged directly into the designated docking station. The basic functions of the iPod can even be controlled in this way with the AktiMates remote control, which also controls the volume of the speakers.
A pair of RCA sockets is available for CD players, DVD players or televisions, which can be connected using a stereo RCA cable. In addition, there is also a 3.5mm jack socket on the back so that a computer or MP3 player can also be connected.

The combination of active speakers with a Soundbridge is particularly interesting. A Soundbridge allows access to music files stored on a computer or network hard drive. In addition, internet radio stations can be received.
