All three new rack-mountable PowerQuest models — PQ-303, PQ-505, and PQ-707 — build on AudioQuest’s proven AC power conditioning approach, providing wide-bandwidth linear noise dissipation (better than -22 dB) to lead their class.

The PQ-303’s Linear Noise-Dissipation features Differential-Mode Filtering (30kHz-1GHz) to remove asymmetrical noise, already present on the utility line or reflected back by electronic devices and components. With the PQ-505, Ultra-Linear Noise-Dissipation is achieved with additional Common-Mode Filtering (30kHz-100MHz) to address symmetrical noise, typically picked up by the AC lines, neutral, and earth. With the PQ-707, Ultra-Linear Noise-Dissipation is taken even further with a wider-bandwidth Differential-Mode Filter (8kHz to 1GHz).

Additionally, the PQ-707 features Transient Power Correction (TPC).

TPC provides a current reservoir of up to 45 amps peak on demand for any power amplifier (up to 25mS), delivering the low-impedance current required by the amplifier to produce exciting dynamic contrasts, bass extension, and control.

Assured Protection
All models feature surge protection and automatic shutdown at 140VAC for extreme voltages.

If more than 140VAC is present on the incoming AC line for more than a quarter of a second, the circuit will instantly open a high-current relay, which will disengage the AC power to all PowerQuest AC outlets, and activate the red “Over Voltage Protection” LED warning indicator on the front panel. Once the event has passed, or the building wiring fault has been corrected, the circuit will automatically re-engage.

So you have peace of mind that your valuable equipment is well protected.

THE CHALLENGE: No matter how perfect an AC power source, distortion is added within any AC cable. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this transient intermodulation distortion (TIM) as the induced RF noise modulates the low-level audio/video signal.

THE SOLUTION: NRG-Y3 cables use direction-controlled strands of Long-Grain Copper (LGC) in a Semi-Solid Concentric Conductor arrangement in which strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces strand interaction distortion. The greater purity and less complicated grain structure within LGC copper further reduces distortion.

Additionally, NRG-Y3’s direction-controlled Silver-Plated Shielding conductors efficiently drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to earth via the third “ground” pin. The result is powerful, dynamic, and stunning! We warmly invite you to listen to it.
