For five decades, Naim Audio has strived to reproduce music in its purest and most authentic form. To achieve this goal, no effort is spared to push the boundaries of what is possible and to achieve a loving refinement of detail in the sound experience.
The New Classic range is the latest chapter in Naim's success story. The product range includes a completely re-engineered version of the legendary NAP 250 power amplifier, the NSC 222 streaming preamplifier, and the NPX 300 power supply. But let's take it step by step:
NSC 222
The sound experience of the Naim 200 series begins with the promising Naim NSC 222 preamplifier, considered a central element of the Naim system. This preamplifier offers extreme versatility, allowing the connection of all analog and digital sources. There are numerous streaming options, including the integrated network module, which enables music playback in UPnP (32 bit/384 kHz and DSD128), access to many online music services (Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz) and internet radio, as well as the ability to receive music via AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Bluetooth aptX.
In addition to its network player functions, the NSC 222 Preamplifier also has the ability to act as a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). It features two inputs, an RCA coaxial input and a BNC SPDIF input. The analog section consists of an MM phono input and an 8-pin DIN line input, making it suitable for turntable enthusiasts. The output of the device includes two RCA and XLR connectors, as well as a 6.35mm headphone jack. The latter has been specially developed and is based on the technology of the prestigious Uniti Atom Headphone Edition.
The Naim NAP 250, first produced in 1975, has evolved over the years into an indispensable reference in the Hi-Fi industry and is now considered a true cult creation among amplifiers. With it, the company initiated and actively shaped important developments in analog audio technology. Today, Naim is also a pioneer in digital music reproduction and specializes in high-quality music servers and network players that enable music enjoyment at the highest level.
Thanks to its aesthetic and technical advancements, the NAP 250 has not only maintained its first-class performance, but has also enhanced it, delivering more power and flexibility: The latest generation is the sixth incarnation of this legendary model and the perfect partner for the Naim NSC 222 preamplifier. It promises to get the best out of it and operates in Class AB, delivering 2 x 100 watts at 8 ohms or 2 x 190 watts at 4 ohms, and promises perfect performance with any pair of speakers.
It is characterized by a timeless and functional design that combines user-friendliness and precision. The simplicity of the design is complemented by the use of innovative materials to achieve the highest level of performance and sound quality.
It is perfectly suited for connections with all New Classic products from Naim and, thanks to special cables, also with earlier Classic models.
NPX 300
The Naim NPX 300 is a high-quality power supply adapter that provides smooth and noise-free power to the entire audio system. By using the NPX 300, the performance of the NSC 222 preamplifier and streamer is improved, ensuring audiophile operation of the system.
The NPX 300 can also be used to upgrade multiple Naim products, giving it high flexibility. It is scalable, as it can be connected to a single preamplifier or a single audio source. For example, the first NPX 300 can be used to power the digital sections, while the second NPX 300 is used to power the analog sections. This ensures a high-quality and optimal power supply for the entire audio system. Because less "noise" means better sound!
The New Classic range from Naim is both cutting-edge and timelessly classic. You can look forward to a system that meets very high demands and offers you an incomparable music experience. Thanks to the flexibility of the new products, they can also be easily integrated into existing Naim systems, further enhancing the sound experience. The first devices will arrive at the end of January. Arrange a listening session with us. We look forward to it.
