Dipl. Ing. Hans M. Strasser, the developer of the excellent HMS cables, has created the most versatile high-end power distribution units to date with the Energia power filters.
The features are ingenious: The power strips detect the correct phase, so that the phase is always connected to the pole of the Energia socket marked with "L". In addition, all "Energia" units have DC decoupling, which successfully suppresses transformer hum.
All Energia power strips are remote controllable. The radio remote control has no buttons; instead, the power strip is switched on or off by turning the remote control over. The larger strips also feature significantly more complex filters, which can lead to an immediately audible improvement in sound. In addition, inrush current reduction ensures that the fuses "stay in" even when several power amplifiers are switched on simultaneously.
Tip: If someone is bothered by the fact that their excellent-sounding NAIM components do not have standby or power switches on the front, this can be elegantly solved with an Energia power strip, and (depending on the quality of the power supply) an enormous sound improvement can also be experienced.
