Historical Overview
The METZ company was founded in 1938 in Nuremberg and is known for its high-end models. In 2015, Skyworth, a Chinese electronics retailer, acquired a stake in METZ. Although it took over the television business, the company’s core credo remained selling high-quality premium products. The previous year, the new METZ blue brand was unveiled at IFA, which has a global focus and caters to shoppers in a mid-range price tier. Selling premium televisions remains a top priority.
The S9A in Detail
Visually, the first thing you’ll notice is that the S9A has an almost bezel-less display that’s slightly tilted backward. It measures just 3.9 mm thick, so the television fits seamlessly into any living room. The OLED panel is supported by a rear stand. The fabric panel along the bottom edge perfectly rounds out the design, and behind it sit six forward-facing speakers. Additionally, a soundbar with a 2-way bass reflex system is integrated, delivering stunning DTS and Dolby Surround sound throughout your living space.
When it comes to resolution, the 4K OLED Ultra HD panel includes HDR. It doesn’t just deliver excellent picture quality, either: thanks to the 10-bit color depth, it also produces astonishing black levels, ensuring exceptional contrast and rich detail. The expanded color gamut enhances every movie-watching experience, and you’ll enjoy images with high dynamic range and a wide spectrum of color information.
Finally, the S9A includes a total of three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one CI+ slot, an Ethernet LAN port, an AV input, and an optical S/PDIF output.
The television runs on Android 8.0, which gives you access to a massive library of content. In addition to live TV and the latest series, you can also bring fantastic games and top apps into your living room via the Google Play Store, and search specifically for your favorite movie titles, for example. The best part? The Google Assistant is built right in, letting you browse content using voice search, which makes operating the S9A incredibly easy. What’s more, you can instantly stream photos, videos, and more from your smartphone, tablet, and PC to the television via Chromecast. The built-in Wi-Fi also makes wireless connection a breeze — say goodbye to cable clutter!
Conclusion
Stunning picture quality and an eye-catching design, plus excellent compatibility with modern apps and smart content: that’s the S9A’s winning formula. With this television, a big-screen cinema experience comes to even small living spaces.
