KEF X300A

Unlike conventional computer speakers, the X300A uses twin audiophile-grade Class AB amplifiers with a toroidal transformer. Class AB amplifiers are typically found in high-end hi-fi amplifiers. Toroidal transformers are used to minimize noise and electromagnetic interference. One amplifier is used for HF and one for MF/LF. Since each driver has an amplifier, the tweeters (vented to avoid distortion) do not suffer when the woofers reach their limits. This results in less distorted sound.

High-resolution sound

USB connections offer high-resolution 96 kHz/24 bit quality, which is also transmitted to the speaker network. This ensures lossless, high-resolution sound. When connected to a PC, the integrated audiophile-grade DAC bypasses your computer's internal DAC and instead uses the
high-quality DAC of the X300A. This ensures that your music always sounds high-quality – whether it comes from your mobile phone, MP3 player or your computer.

To get the best out of the twin Class AB amplifiers, the X300A features the award-winning Uni-Q driver array from the flagship Blade loudspeaker. This Uni-Q driver array with an extremely light and stiffened aluminum/magnesium alloy MF/LF cone reduces distortion.

The aluminum dome tweeter is located in the acoustic center of the MF/LF cone for optimal performance. The Tangerine Waveguide also features exceptionally wide dispersion characteristics and reduces the so-called sweet spot effect. The driver array is housed in an aluminum enclosure. This prevents resonances
and creates a clear sound image. Together with other innovations, such as Z-flex surround technology, a smooth transition to the enclosure is achieved. The large neodymium magnet reduces inductance and distortion, and the Uni-Q driver array creates a detailed, wide and clear soundstage, regardless
of the source of your music.
