First Impression
With a length of one meter and a weight of six kilograms, the SC-HTB900 soundbar is ideal for large-screen TVs. Its elegant design blends into the living room, whether under the TV or mounted on the wall with the included mounting brackets. Since the accompanying subwoofer connects wirelessly to the soundbar, it can also be positioned flexibly.
What's inside?
It's important to note that the SC-HTB900 supports an incredibly wide range of audio and film formats. Even HiRes and 4K signals are reproduced.
Two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output (ARC) provide adequate connectivity. In addition, the soundbar has an optical audio input and a Bluetooth receiver. Wi-Fi and LAN are also no problem.
Chromecast provides access to network media, making music streaming and multi-room connections easy to set up. The soundbar is easily controlled via Google Assistant. A simplified remote control is also included, making operation very straightforward.
And the Sound?
A total of eight speaker drivers are integrated into the soundbar, providing true home theater sound: two 6.5 cm chassis for the right, left, and center channels, plus two tweeters. This delivers Dolby Digital and DTS, and 3D sound also enters your home thanks to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. This is made possible by sound reflection from the ceiling and virtual surround sound from behind and above – breathtaking sound included! To make all this even simpler, three presets are already available, providing varying levels of powerful 3D sound.
The sound is further enhanced by the accompanying active subwoofer. This connects wirelessly and automatically to the main unit, delivering thundering bass.
The Hi-Fi brand Technics, part of Panasonic, played a crucial role in the development of this soundbar. The JENO circuit technology (short for: Jitter Elimination and Noise-shaping Optimization) reduces jitter, which sustainably improves the sound quality of the SC-HTB900.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that there's a mode for vocal reproduction in movies, which makes voices particularly clear. So, everything has been thought of here.
