The Dark Star is Transrotor's first turntable made entirely of polyoxymethylene (POM for short).
Special characteristics of POM are high strength, hardness, and stiffness over a wide temperature range. Therefore, the material has been used in precision tools for many years – and, if you think about it, a high-quality turntable is nothing less than a
high-precision tool where fractions of a millimeter decide good sound.
Features: The new Transrotor comes very well equipped in its standard package with an 800-s tonearm and a Goldring MM 2200 cartridge. Optionally, we also have even better systems, e.g., from Benz and Koetsu, available for demonstration.
