The focus of room tuning must primarily be a precise analysis. Our experience, even during a simple inspection without technical aids, helps us to find a good placement for the system and to provide helpful tips for sound improvement. However, if you want to work on the room's weaknesses in a targeted and effective manner, it is necessary to first accurately identify them. And this is where Room-Tools comes in. The analysis program is installed on a computer and allows for the recording of room parameters via a measurement microphone. This not only maps the general frequency response but also, and more importantly, records the room's reverberation, as well as reflections and standing waves.
While the frequency response can be optimized quite well with automatic calibration systems like Audyssey, YPAO, or MCACC, unfavorable reflections in the room can only be combated with suitable absorbers or diffusers. Only then can a uniform reverberation be created over a wide frequency range – a prerequisite for a balanced sound image over a large listening area. If you are hesitant about "disfiguring" the room with acoustic elements, you can also significantly enhance the sound properties of the listening room with bookshelves and carpets.
If you need help with optimization, we are happy to assist you – with decades of experience and professional equipment.
