The Rotel RA-05SE is an excellent stereo amplifier that harmonizes perfectly with almost all loudspeakers up to the €2000 class. The amplifier is remote controllable and, in addition to line inputs, also has a high-quality input for turntables with MM cartridges. Radio reception: In the FM range, the Rotel RT-09 is excellent. Station selection and programming are easy, and reception performance and sound are convincing across the board. The Rotel also supports DAB, but since Germany currently broadcasts in a mixed mode of DAB and DAB+ (the latter is not supported by Rotel), internet radio is clearly preferable for digital reception. Station selection, range, and quality are superior to DAB+. Internet radio stations can also be easily programmed to one of the 30 memory slots.
Converter: Whenever you have an older CD player in use, or want to connect a TV or PC with a digital output, the RT-09 offers the perfect connection option with its optical and electrical digital inputs. Thanks to the high-quality Wolfson converter, the Rotel also offers the possibility of significantly enhancing the sound of two digital sources. Separate converters of this quality are otherwise only available from approx. €500 (e.g., the M1Dac from Musical Fidelity).
Streaming: More and more music fans have a digital music library, either on their computer or on a network hard drive (NAS). All you need additionally for the Rotel is a UPNP server. This is automatically installed on Windows, Apple, and many NAS drives. And just like that, you can comfortably enjoy your digital music collection in the best quality in your living room.
You can also connect a USB stick to the front and, for example, play music directly from friends' devices.
Rotel RT09 Dongle
The Rotel can be integrated into your existing network via both network cable and wirelessly. Two USB dongles are included with the device (1x LAN, 1x WLAN). Please note that one of these dongles must always be plugged into the device, even if you only want to listen to FM radio.
