Due to its properties, ferrofluid is often used in loudspeaker construction, on the one hand, to dissipate heat between the voice coil and the magnet assembly, and on the other, to (passively) dampen the diaphragm movement. In the case of the Sony speakers, the sonic effects are very positively noticeable due to the absence of distortion. Clear, rich, and dynamic sound emanating from hardly visible speakers. It is almost irrelevant at what volume level they are played.
