The ST5 plays music directly from Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect, and for power users, the ST5 is Roon Ready, all with Hi-Res and MQA support. All digital audio signals are output to the analog outputs via a high-resolution ESS ES9018 DAC with time-domain jitter suppression – for perfect sound at all times.

New update brings several important improvements to the ST5:
- Enabling Hi-Res on Tidal Connect
- New Google Cast activation (eliminates the need to set up Chromecast in Google Home and can now work in the ARCAM Radia app after accepting Google's terms).
- Many improvements in the ARCAM Radia app, including:
- Improved app search user interface
- Spotify link in the app with the ability to add Spotify content to presets
- Network settings added to the app
- Descriptions of radio stations and podcasts added to the app
All devices can be updated directly by the customer after setup with the ARCAM Radia app.
The update is performed overnight in standby mode and with an existing network connection via OTA.
Alternatively, the update can be performed in the ARCAM Radia app by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner, then selecting Internet Update from the menu, and finally clicking Check for Update.
After that, the ST5 will be updated.
