Complementing this, the Astell & Kern HB1 features an exclusive AMP circuit that surpasses standard built-in DAC AMP configurations. The AMP provides a 4Vrms output (in balanced connection) and offers two connectivity options – 3.5mm unbalanced and 4.4mm balanced – for a wide range of IEMs and headphones.

The compact form factor of 33 x 68.4 x 16.5 mm has been maintained through the use of micro resistors and capacitors to achieve a small footprint without sacrificing performance. Designed for seamless compatibility with Android and iOS devices, the AK HC4 comes with an interchangeable cable that supports Type-C and Lightning connectors, eliminating the need for additional adapters.

The Astell&Kern HC4's double-shielded cable is designed to minimize noise and deliver a more vibrant, original sound. The cable's copper core is coated with tin, which prevents corrosion and increases tensile strength for enhanced durability.

Additionally, the entire cable is wrapped in aluminum foil to block noise, and an additional shielding layer around the power cable provides further noise reduction – an important criterion for audio quality. To reduce interference noise on the sound, the tinned copper wire is elaborately woven. The cable features a fabric jacket over the TPE jacket, combining improved durability with a visually appealing design.
