The ATH-ADX3000 is an open-back headphone developed on the basis of the flagship ATH-ADX5000 to make the natural sound of Air Dynamic headphones accessible to more people. The headphones are equipped with perfectly integrated 58mm drivers, whose diaphragm, voice coil, baffle, and magnet form a single unit, thus ensuring more efficient airflow and excellent audio quality across the entire frequency spectrum. This optimal design also leads to a significant reduction in unwanted distortion. The result is outstanding, full sound with natural bass, clean mids and highs, and a precise, realistic soundstage.

The feather-light (257g) high-end headphones are handcrafted in the Audio-Technica factory in Machida, Tokyo, using self-developed components and rigorously tested before delivery. For long-wearing comfort, the headphones are equipped with interchangeable velour earpads. They are supplied with a detachable 3m cable with A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors for the headphone connection and a gold-plated 6.3mm stereo jack plug for various playback devices.

Since 2015, Audio-Technica has been using its exclusively developed A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors for all in-ear and selected over-ear headphones with detachable cables.

The open design of the ATH-ADX3000 allows for unrestricted airflow, effectively preventing distortion or overemphasized frequency ranges. This results in particularly clean, pure audio reproduction with an absolutely authentic soundstage.
