Do not use this apparatus near water. Clean only with a dry cloth.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install under the manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarised or grounding-type plug. A polarised plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet.
Protect the power cord from being stepped on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, convenience receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the apparatus. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilt or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
CAUTION: These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.
Do not install this equipment in a confined or built-in space such as a bookcase or similar unit, and keep well ventilated in an open space. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, tablecloths, curtains etc.
WARNING: Only use attachments/accessories specified or provided by the manufacturer (such as the exclusive supply adapter, battery etc.).
WARNING: Please refer to the information on the exterior panel of the enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the apparatus.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on the apparatus.
WARNING: For the terminals marked with the symbol of a flash may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The external wiring connected to the terminals requires installation by an instructed person or the use of ready-made leads or cords.
WARNING: No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed near or on the appliance.
WARNING: Environmental considerations should be taken into account when disposing of batteries.
WARNING:: Caution when using in temperate / tropical climates.
The Audiolab 9000Q is a preamplifier that embodies the sonic perfection of the 9000 flagship series in its purest form. Inspired by the award-winning Audiolab 9000A integrated amplifier, the 9000Q elevates your music listening experience to a new level. This innovative preamplifier combines advanced technologies with the highest manufacturing quality and offers well-thought-out features such as tone control and fully balanced signal paths. The result: unparalleled versatile and precise sound that transforms every note into an emotional experience.

A Milestone of the 9000 Series
The Audiolab 9000 series builds on the success of the legendary 8000, 8200, and 8300 models. With new developments such as the 9000Q preamplifier and the 9000P power amplifier, the series targets a broader audience and is perfectly suited for demanding audio systems.

The 9000Q impresses with the elegant aesthetics of the series – robustly manufactured and immaculately finished. With its two rotary controls and high-resolution 4.3-inch TFT color display, it externally resembles the 9000N and exudes timeless elegance.

Design and Technology
The Audiolab 9000Q was developed from the ground up as a standalone, dedicated preamplifier – far more than just a stripped-down version of the 9000A integrated amplifier. Under the leadership of Jan Ertner, the experienced designer of the 9000 series, the 9000Q was conceived as a highly sophisticated solution for uncompromising sound quality.

At the heart of the 9000Q is the ES9038PRO DAC chip, the most powerful DAC in the Sabre range. By combining it with proprietary circuits, the HyperStream-II architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator technology are optimally utilized. This enables outstanding dynamics and ultra-low distortion – ideal for high-resolution digital audio files.

Furthermore, the 9000Q features an improved MM phono stage with a new, single-stage Class-A circuit, which also makes it exceptional as a standalone phono stage.

Tone Control
A specially developed transformer ensures precise and detailed reproduction, even under high power demands.

The 9000Q offers new treble and bass tone controls, which can be adjusted via the menu. With an adjustment range of +/-6 dB in 2-dB steps, it allows for precise adaptation to room acoustics, loudspeakers, or personal preferences.

Further Features
The integrated headphone amplifier with current-feedback technology offers dynamic and detailed reproduction for all types of headphones.

Two 12V trigger outputs allow control of external devices such as the Audiolab 9000CDT or 9000N. The 9000Q harmonizes ideally with the 9000P power amplifier, whether in stereo or mono-bridged configuration.

The 4.3-inch TFT display offers an intuitive user interface with extensive functions:

  • Digital upsampling
  • Input sensitivity adjustment
  • Balance control
  • Automatic standby
  • Power-on volume limit
  • The display can also be used as a VU meter, showing real-time levels for the left and right channels – either analog or digital.

Conclusion
