The only way to avoid characteristic impedance mis-match between a cable and the source and load circuits it connects to, is to have no characteristic impedance in the cable at all. ZERO-Tech accomplishes this by eliminating the electrostatic field between the signal-positive and signal-negative conductors. This enables linear noise dissipation (evenly from octave to octave) of Radio Frequency (RF) noise, as well as uncompressed transients. To obtain full ZERO-Tech isolation between the signal conductors, a double DBS pack is included for XLR cables.
SOLID PERFECT-SURFACE COPPER+ (PSC+) CONDUCTORS
Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic strand interaction. PSC+ Solid-Copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximizes linear high-frequency noise dissipation.
POLYETHYLENE FOAM INSULATION
Any solid material adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfect circuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy (loss). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Because air absorbs next to no energy, and Polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile, air-filled Polyethylene Foam Insulation is used on both conductors. Thanks to the air in the Polyethylene Foam, it causes much less out-of-focus effect than other materials.
LEVEL 6 NOISE-DISSIPATION (INTERCONNECTS): ZERO-TECH + CARBON/GRAPHENE MESH-NETWORK + DIRECTION-CONTROLLED
Radio-Frequency Noise from cellular, WiFi, and satellites is everywhere. AQ’s Level 6 Linear Noise-Dissipation includes a carbon & graphene resistive mesh-network, direction-controlled conductors, and Silver-Plated drain wires, significantly minimizing RF Noise masking effects.
COPPER-PLATED, RF-DRAINING SHELLS
Ground-plane Copper-Plated shells maximize noise-dissipation by minimizing capacitive coupling of RF noise into the signal conductors.
