Dragon is not only the best interconnect cable AudioQuest has ever made; it may even be the best the world has ever seen or heard.

Combining premium materials and state-of-the-art noise dissipation technologies, Dragon comes as close as possible to AudioQuest's sonic ideal — the completely invisible cable. It features solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) conductors, ZERO-Tech, FEP Air-Tube insulation, silver-plated, RF-draining plug housings, and a Level-7 Noise-Dissipation System, in which even the shielding is 100% PSS.

No expense has been spared, no detail neglected.

Dragon directly follows acclaimed designs from AudioQuest's storied past, while being something completely and unmistakably new, incinerating its predecessors like a true dragon.

All Mythical Creature interconnects are available with custom RCA and XLR connectors.

ZERO-Tech (No Characteristic Impedance) For Linear, Broadband Noise Dissipation
The only way to avoid characteristic impedance mismatch between the cable and the connected source and load circuits is to not allow characteristic impedance in the cable. ZERO-Tech achieves this by eliminating the electrostatic field between signal-low and signal-high conductors. This enables linear noise dissipation (evenly from octave to octave) of radio frequency (RF) noise and uncompressed transients. To maintain complete ZERO-Tech insulation between the signal conductors, a dual DBS pack is included for XLR cables.

Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) Conductors
Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic strand interaction. The high purity of Perfect-Surface Silver minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries existing within any metal conductor, almost completely eliminating harshness and greatly improving transparency compared to OFHC, OCC, 8N, and other coppers.

FEP Air-Tube Dielectric
The positive conductors benefit from almost no contact between the metal and the FEP insulation. The latter is characterized by excellent dielectric constant and minimal signal interference. The negative conductors benefit from an "intentionally lossy insulation" – the job of the negative conductor is assisted by the absence of air and FEP.

72-V Dielectric-Bias System (DBS) with Level X RF Trap
Any insulation is also a dielectric, whose properties affect signal integrity. If the insulation is not biased, dielectric influence (absorption and non-linear re-emission of energy back into the signal flow) causes different time delays (phase shift) for various frequencies and energy levels, which is a significant problem for very time-critical multi-octave audio.

AudioQuest's multi-patented DBS creates a strong, stable electrostatic field that saturates and polarizes (organizes) the insulation molecules. This minimizes non-linear time delays, resulting in a more transparent sound against a "blacker" background.

The Level X RF Trap (a technology developed for the AudioQuest Niagara series) in the DBS battery pack "pulls" RF noise from the cable and prevents RF from entering the electronics. DBS battery packs last approximately 10 years. Check their condition using the test switch.

Level 7 Noise-Dissipation (Interconnect Cables):
ZERO-Tech + 72-V-DBS + Carbon/Graphene Mesh Network + Directionality
High-frequency noise caused by smartphones, Wi-Fi, and satellites is everywhere. AQ's Level 7 linear noise reduction includes a resistive carbon and graphene mesh network, directionally controlled conductors, 72-V DBS, and Solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) drain wires. The veiling effects of RF noise are significantly reduced as a result.

Hanging Silver Over Red Copper Plugs
AudioQuest's best plugs are equipped with high-quality Hanging Silver (not tumble-plated) over extremely pure Red Copper.

Silver-plated, RF-Draining Enclosures
Grounded, silver-plated enclosures maximize noise dissipation by minimizing capacitive coupling of RF noise with the signal conductors.
