The Cambridge Audio CXN100 SE is the new Special Edition of the popular CXN100, aimed at demanding Hi-Fi users who seek high-resolution streaming, modern connectivity, and particularly high-quality integration into their living room setup. The most important new feature compared to the regular CXN100 is the integrated HDMI eARC port, which allows the streamer to connect directly to a television.

High-Resolution Streaming Without Compromise

With the current StreamMagic Gen4 platform, the CXN100 SE provides access to virtually all relevant streaming services and multi-room ecosystems. Supported services include Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect including MQA, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, AirPlay 2, Chromecast Built-in, and Roon Ready. Internet radio and Bluetooth aptX HD are also part of its functionality.

Inside, an ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 DAC processes high-resolution PCM files up to 32-bit / 768 kHz as well as DSD512. The sound characteristic impresses with high detail resolution, natural dynamics, and a particularly musical tuning.

HDMI eARC for Modern Hi-Fi Systems

The biggest special feature of the CXN100 SE is the HDMI eARC interface. This allows TV sound to be played directly through the stereo system – including streaming apps, consoles, or live TV. Especially for modern living room setups, this creates an elegant combination of an audiophile music streamer and a high-quality TV audio hub.

High-Quality Craftsmanship & Intuitive Operation

The casing combines aluminum and steel with a minimalist design. The SE version also comes in an exclusive matte black finish. The large color display shows album artwork and metadata in sharp detail. Operation can be done directly on the device or conveniently via the StreamMagic app.

Connectivity & Flexibility

In addition to HDMI eARC, the CXN100 SE offers numerous digital and analog connectivity options. These include balanced XLR outputs, RCA/Cinch, USB Audio, coaxial and optical inputs and outputs, as well as Ethernet and dual-band Wi-Fi. Furthermore, the streamer can be operated directly with active speakers or power amplifiers via its integrated preamplifier mode.
