The Cardas Iridium is the successor to the enormously successful Microtwin cable and offers a further development in sound quality at a comparable price. The cable comes from the Cross cable series and uses four inner conductor bundles made of individually lacquered strands arranged in a golden section, which are stranded in opposite directions. PFA tape with carbon impregnation is used for positioning and a spiral cable serves as additional shielding.
The Iridium is a warm and natural playing cable with a dry - and in contrast to older Cardas designs - not overly rich bass. The use of a TPE jacket makes the cable very flexible. The phono version of the Cardas Iridium uses a single cable of the Iridium Interconnect in balanced configuration.
