Focal Aria Evo X N°2 (Paar)

More volume, more depth

The Aria Evo X N°2 is designed to deliver better room-filling sound and more bass reserve than the smaller bookshelf speaker in the series. The 3-way design divides bass, midrange, and treble clearly across individual drivers. This results in more relaxed playback at higher volumes and a wider soundstage. It can be particularly convincing in medium-sized living spaces.

Flax and TAM

Like the N°1, Focal uses flax membranes and the TAM tweeter. The difference here is the larger design, with two bass drivers and a separate midrange driver controlled by a TMD surround. This improves scaling for vocals, acoustic instruments, and dynamic passages. The tuning remains natural, but gains in authority and poise.

For powerful amplifiers

With a recommended amplifier power of 40 to 250 watts and a minimum impedance of 2.9 ohms, the N°2 requires a stable amplifier. That’s no problem as long as the electronics can deliver enough power. In return, you get a speaker that plays big, dynamically, and with control. This model is therefore aimed more at serious stereo setups than basic entry-level systems.

Living Space With Presence

The Aria Evo X N°2 is also clearly designed to fit in living spaces, but it feels significantly more prominent thanks to its size. It brings more physical presence without tipping over into excess. For listeners who like the natural character of the series but want more foundation and authority, it’s the obvious choice. In practice, it’s therefore a speaker for people who listen for long periods and don’t just want to be impressed briefly.
