The Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen is a versatile USB audio interface for musicians, producers, and content creators who want to achieve high-quality recordings with maximum flexibility. With its four inputs and outputs, integrated MIDI ports, and newly developed Scarlett preamps, the interface is ideally suited as a central recording hub for modern desktop studios.

The fourth generation of the Scarlett series offers significant improvements in sound quality, workflow, and ease of use. The revised microphone preamplifiers provide up to 69 dB of gain and operate with extremely low noise, allowing even demanding dynamic microphones to be used without problems. At the same time, high-quality converters with up to 120 dB dynamic range ensure detailed recordings with professional studio quality.

Two Scarlett Preamps with Air Mode

The integrated microphone preamplifiers are among the most important features of the Scarlett 4i4. They have been specially revised for the fourth generation and offer a particularly transparent sound character.

The Air Mode extends the sound spectrum with two different characteristics:

• Presence Mode – boosts the highs and provides more presence for vocals and acoustic instruments
• Harmonic Drive – adds harmonic overtones and gives recordings more character

This allows recordings to be shaped sonically during recording – without additional plugins.

Auto Gain and Clip Safe for Perfect Levels

With Auto Gain and Clip Safe, Focusrite brings two intelligent recording tools to the Scarlett series. While Auto Gain automatically sets the optimal input level, Clip Safe continuously monitors the signal and adjusts the gain as soon as clipping threatens. This ensures that recordings remain clean and distortion-free, even during dynamic performances.

Flexible Connectivity Options

The Scarlett 4i4 is ideally suited for a wide variety of setups. In addition to two microphone/instrument inputs, additional line inputs are available, allowing synthesizers, drum machines, or external effects units to be easily integrated.

Thanks to MIDI In/Out, classic hardware synthesizers or controllers can also be directly integrated – a great advantage for hybrid studios with analog equipment.

The independent line and headphone outputs also allow for separate monitor mixes for musicians and producers.

Recording Software Included

The extensive Focusrite Hitmaker Expansion Bundle is included, offering a complete production environment for recording, mixing, and mastering. Additionally, Ableton Live Lite and Pro Tools Intro+ are included, so you can start making music right away.
