The Hegel P20 is the perfect introduction to Hegel's Reference series - a preamplifier that brings audiophile sound quality within reach. With the P20, Hegel impressively proves that top sound does not have to be unaffordable. Many of the technologies and sound characteristics of its bigger brother can also be found here - only more compact, but without compromising on musical performance.

Despite its slim format, the P20 impresses with an exceptional sound stage, deep, rhythmic bass and perfect timing. The result is a lively, natural listening experience - music becomes tangible, as if you were there live.

The scope of delivery includes an elegant system remote control made of solid aluminium, manufactured with the same care as the P20 itself. Bead-blasted and anodised, it not only conveys the highest quality visually - it also feels just as good in the hand.

The P20 offers a total of five inputs - both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA). An additional home theatre bypass enables seamless integration into multi-channel systems. The P20 is also flexible on the output side: balanced and unbalanced outputs as well as a fixed line-out are available.

Hegel has developed the P20 with the aim of setting a new benchmark in terms of price-performance ratio. As the centrepiece of a hi-fi system, a preamplifier must be particularly sensitive - this is where it is decided whether nuances remain audible or are drowned out by background noise.
