The TS-1 is designed as a central audio unit for various use cases. Wide range of connections

With optical, coaxial, and USB audio inputs, plus HDMI ARC and analog RCA, the TS-1 offers an unusually extensive range of interfaces. This allows it to serve both as a streaming hub and a digital switching center. The XLR and RCA outputs make it flexible for various amplifier or powered speaker configurations, and it’s also easy to connect an external CD player or other sources.

Streaming and Operation

The TS-1 can be controlled comfortably via the MA Player OS and the MA Remote App. Local libraries, NAS content, and common streaming ecosystems are supported, with a clear focus on stable, modern operation with high resolution — a perfect fit for a device that aims to pack as much functionality as possible into a single housing.

For Headphones and Powered Speakers

Its integrated headphone section and pre-amplifier functionality make the TS-1 attractive for many direct setups. When paired with powered speakers, it creates a highly streamlined yet premium system. For traditional passive speakers, however, you would need a separate amplifier. This is an important distinction: the TS-1 is not a full amplifier solution, but a central signal hub with very broad functionality.
