With 300 watts of power, it delivers enough power to drive even the most demanding speakers. And thanks to the patented Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers, these full 300 watts are available to 2, 4, or 8 ohm speakers.
The MC2301 is the first McIntosh tube amplifier to feature Quad Balanced technology. This design virtually eliminates all noise and distortion in the audio signal. As a result, the signal is effectively distortion-free, even at high gain. The Sentry Monitor™ short-circuit protection circuit shuts down the power amplifier before the current exceeds safe operating levels and then automatically resets itself. Balanced and unbalanced connections provide full flexibility.
The attractive blue meter is flanked by two rows of output vacuum tubes. The elegant knobs and brushed aluminum handles effortlessly complement the polished stainless steel chassis. The MC2301 is well-suited for stereo music systems.
