Meze spent months fine-tuning the sound signature until it was perfect. It's no coincidence that the frequency curve is textbook perfect. Rich but dry bass, wonderfully balanced mids, and crystal-clear but not "annoying" highs. The 99 Neo is fun to listen to even after hours. The 99 Neo sounds "analog" instead of "clinical" and a little bit finer in the highs than the 99 Classics.

EARCUPS MADE OF INNOVATIVE POLYMER HARD SHELLS
The 99 Neo's earcups are not made of solid wood. Antonio Meze wanted to set new accents both stylistically and acoustically, so he opted for extremely torsion-resistant polymer shells with a unique surface texture. The fine-tuning of the 40mm neodymium drivers combines the distinctive "analog" sound of the 99 Classics with a very sensitive resolution, without ever tending to "hiss."
