Naim Audio NAP 300 DR

The NAP 300 offers a dual-mono configuration, a sophisticated grounding system, and specially developed power transistors that provide exceptionally high ratings and a very wide bandwidth.

High-quality circuit boards, mounted on decoupling pins, are used for the NAP 300's circuits. Both this decoupling system and the high-quality aluminum casing with anti-vibration feet prevent sound degradation due to mechanical vibrations. A nearly silent intelligent fan with variable speed provides increased heat dissipation when needed.

As with the NAP 500, the NAP 300 also uses a high-quality regulated power supply, housed in a separate enclosure. The spatial separation of the audio circuits from the transformer reduces interference to a minimum.


The new Naim DR technology

The NAP 300 is now equipped with a Naim-proprietary, discreetly built voltage regulator and is accordingly designated "DR" (discrete regulators). In addition, the NAP 300 DR benefits from new high-performance transistors developed for the Statement reference series and optimized circuit layouts.

The voltage regulators, developed during a two-year project, are characterized by a thirty times higher signal-to-noise ratio, faster response to load changes, and about ten times less ripple than earlier regulators.
In the larger power amplifier models (NAP 250 DR, NAP 300 DR, NAP 500 DR), multiple DR modules on the mainboard regulate the entire power amplifier, and new, extremely powerful output transistors are also used.
