Onkyo TX-RZ50 – The Upscale Mid-Range with Clear High-End DNA

The TX-RZ50 is positioned directly below the RZ70 and incorporates many of its core technologies. Particularly striking is the combination of discrete amplifier architecture and Dirac Live, which is by no means standard in this class.

The internal signal routing is clearly structured, and the power supply is sufficiently dimensioned to remain stable even during dynamic movie scenes. Sonically, the receiver is controlled, neutral, and offers good spatial imaging.

9.2 Channel Power Amplifiers – Flexible and Powerful

With nine discrete amplifier channels, the TX-RZ50 enables setups up to 5.2.4 or 7.2.2. The power of approx. 120 watts per channel (8 ohms, 20 Hz – 20 kHz, 0.08% THD, 2 channels) is sufficient to drive even demanding loudspeakers with confidence.

The power amplifiers are characterized by stable control in the low-frequency range and clean resolution in the high-frequency range.

Dirac Live – Room Correction at Reference Level

Dirac Live Full Bandwidth is also used in the TX-RZ50. This not only optimizes the frequency response but also corrects the time behavior of the loudspeakers in the room.

This leads to:

• better localization
• more homogeneous sound image
• stable soundstage

Especially in living rooms that are not perfectly optimized, Dirac offers a clearly audible advantage.

HDMI 2.1 & Gaming Integration

The receiver is fully HDMI 2.1 compatible and supports:

• 8K/60 and 4K/120
• VRR, ALLM, QFT
• HDR10+, Dolby Vision

This makes it suitable for both home cinema and modern gaming setups.

IMAX Enhanced & 3D Audio

In addition to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, the TX-RZ50 also supports IMAX Enhanced. This enables particularly dynamic and detailed playback, oriented towards professional cinema standards.

Streaming & Integration

With AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect, the TX-RZ50 is fully integrated into modern streaming ecosystems. Network and multi-room functions ensure flexible everyday use.

Pre-Outs & System Expansion

The full 9.2 pre-outs allow for the integration of external power amplifiers. This allows the system to be specifically upgraded and expanded in the long term.
