The LH-2000 is a simple, high quality headshell designed specifically for hi-fi applications. With its clean, minimalist appearance, the LH-2000 is ideal for a variety of cartridges, e.g. the 2M Series.
Knowing the basic headshell dimensions makes it easier in many cases to mount and align the cartridge and tonearm correctly. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see the headshell mounting dimensions diagram.
The LH-2000 comes with connecting wires for easy and convenient connection.
All Ortofon cartridges have colour coding of the terminals, indicating red and green for the right channel, hot and ground respectively. White and blue for the left channel, respectively the hot and the ground connection. The green terminal is always used to ground the cartridge enclosure or motor system when connected inside the cartridge. We recommend connecting the wires to the cartridge and the headshell before mounting the cartridge to the headshell. Please remember to align the connections correctly. The diameter of the connection pins of the Ortofon cartridges is 1.2 mm, while the diameter of the Ortofon headshell pins is only 1.0 mm.
