An exceptionally high quality carbon fibre headshell, the LH-9000, is made from carbon fibre resin to eliminate unwanted resonances. The LH-9000 is perfectly suited for a variety of high-end pickups, such as the Cadenza Series, MC A95, MC Diamond and MC Windfeld Ti.
Knowing the basic headshell dimensions will in many cases facilitate the correct mounting and alignment of the cartridge and tonearm. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to view the headshell mounting dimensions table.
The LH-9000 is supplied with connection cables for easy and convenient connection.
All Ortofon cartridges are colour coded with red and green for the right channel, hot and ground respectively. White and blue for the left channel, respectively for the hot and the earth connection. The green terminal is always used to ground the cartridge enclosure or generator system whenever it is connected inside the cartridge. We recommend that you connect the connection cables to the cartridge and headshell before mounting the cartridge on the headshell. Please ensure that the connections are correctly aligned. The diameter of the connection pins of the Ortofon cartridges is 1.2 mm, while those of the Ortofon headshells are only 1.0 mm.
