The RPM-1 Carbon features a wealth of innovative new features and evolutionary advancements: A low-resonance chassis accommodates a newly designed inverted platter bearing, whose ceramic ball ensures reduced rumble. The free-standing motor unit with a 15V synchronous motor is driven by a precision generator with DC power supply. This ultra-pure power supply for the motor ensures superb smooth running and is a rarity in this price class. The revolutionary redesign of the S-shaped tonearm uses a material mix of carbon fibers, aluminum, and synthetic resin for the tonearm tube. Through a very elaborate 3-stage process, superior rigidity, highest internal damping, and low resonance are achieved by means of heat treatments under 100 bar high pressure, which is why this tonearm is also suitable for MC cartridges. Magnetic anti-skating and a TPE-damped counterweight are among the other highlights that make the RPM-1 Carbon a stylish sound marvel!
