With the STAX Lambda SR-L500 MK2, technology derived from the STAX Lambda SR-009/009S (such as the more elaborate cable technology) enables an even more spacious and refined reproduction compared to the STAX Lambda SR-L300. The materials are also of higher quality, and the wearing comfort is correspondingly better.

All STAX headphones and in-ear monitors are electrostatic devices operating on the push-pull principle. Due to their operating principle, they require a STAX driver amplifier to function.

Note on operating voltage (polarization voltage) of STAX headphones
Many early STAX headphones are designed for an operating voltage of 230V/DC. However, the PRO series headphones - which include all current models - require a higher operating voltage of 580V/DC.
In the past, STAX offered driver amplifiers that provided both operating voltages. Current driver amplifiers only have connections for the higher operating voltage of 580V/DC.
To avoid confusion, the connection sockets for the different operating voltages are designed differently.
