It is a further development of the multiple test winners HPA V200 and HPA V280 and offers the incomparable natural and pleasant sound that made its predecessors famous. Thanks to its special technology, the HPA V222 not only offers one of the most powerful headphone amplifiers on the market, but also:
- LOWEST NOISE due to very small internal amplification. This makes the amplifier's inherent noise inaudible.
- HIGH OUTPUT VOLTAGE due to 50 volts internal operating voltage. Therefore, it is ideally suited for high-impedance headphones.
- HIGH OUTPUT POWER due to powerful amplifiers that can deliver far more power than even the most demanding headphones need. Therefore, it is ideally suited for headphones with low impedances and also planar magnetic headphones!
- HIGH DAMPING FACTOR due to lowest output impedance. Therefore, it is ideally suited for driving even the most difficult headphones without interference, guaranteeing an uncompromising frequency response.
The HPA V222 offers:
- 2 stereo inputs, balanced via XLR and unbalanced via RCA
- Inputs switchable on the front
- +/-18 dB Pre-Gain for optimal adaptation of the HPA V222 to source and headphones
- Volume control with RK 27 potentiometer
- Large 38 mm solid aluminum knob
- Powerful balanced stereo amplifier (4 output stages),
- 3500 mW Pmax at 50 ohms,
- > 23 V RMS at 600 ohms
- Delayed headphone activation after power-on
- Headphone outputs: 1 x Pentaconn, bal. 1 x 4-pin XLR, bal. / 1 x 6.3 mm jack, unbal.
- Integrated power supply with toroidal transformer
- 22,000 uF filter capacitance
Functions
The rear line inputs can be selected via a switch on the front. The activated and buffered signal reaches the four output stages after the RK 27 volume control, which are a further development of the famous V200 circuits. Connect your (balanced) headphones to the HPA V222 and enjoy a compact and fantastic-sounding headphone amplifier with the renowned natural, smooth yet precise Violectric sound.
