SMC™ Essential magnet system
The SONIK series uses our patented SMC™ magnet material to reduce distortion and improve linearity. A ferrite ring surrounds a hybrid iron-SMC™ pole piece, placing the SMC™ directly in the voice coil's working zone. This minimizes hysteresis effects and eddy currents, resulting in cleaner, more detailed, and more relaxed midrange reproduction.
