The Devialet Dione is equipped with 17 high-quality drivers, which are an important basis for surprisingly dynamic, detailed, and well-founded sound. These are divided into nine full-range aluminum drivers and eight integrated subwoofers with patented SAM technology. The latter guarantee that the elegant Dione, as an all-in-one solution, can also excellently present lower frequencies.
With an incredible total output of 950 watts (RMS), the Dione presents itself in the best Devialet tradition. Achieving maximum performance even from compact devices has always been a passion of the technology and innovation-loving French. The legendary Phantom active speakers are the best example of this.
Dolby Atmos is of course included in the scope of features, and Devialet's patented SPACE technology ensures that a maximally immersive effect can be generated even with conventional audio signals. Every 2.0 stereo signal is upscaled to 5.1.2 in the best possible quality. In addition, there is the extremely practical Adaptive Volume Level (AVL) technology, which balances the sound level in real time according to the current content to make listening as pleasant as possible.
The Dione runs on Devialet's operating system 2 (DOS 2) and has an extremely powerful chip configuration: 4 x ARM Cortex A53 processors with 1.25 GHz clock speed are on board and enable fast implementation of complex and extensive computing operations. Other high-quality signal processing technologies from the French noble forge are also used, and all of them are gathered on a single "System On A Chip" measuring only one square centimeter.
Another point in favor of the Dione is the flexibility already mentioned at the beginning, thanks to comprehensive connectivity. HDMI eARC is a matter of course for problem-free contact with the Smart TV. Furthermore, there is alternatively an optical digital connection, Bluetooth 5.0, fast dual-band Wi-Fi, and support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect. The entire range of functions can be conveniently controlled using the Devialet app (for iOS and Android).
