The eight integrated Scarlett preamps deliver extremely transparent reproduction and offer 69 dB of gain, providing ample headroom for dynamic microphones and high-quality condenser models.

The high-quality converters of the Scarlett 18i20 offer a dynamic range of up to 122 dB, providing precise, detailed sound reproduction that meets even professional studio requirements.
Intelligent Recording with Auto Gain and Clip Safe
For a particularly convenient workflow, Focusrite has also integrated the Auto Gain and Clip Safe functions into the 18i20. Auto Gain automatically sets optimal levels, while Clip Safe continuously monitors the input signal and adjusts the gain if necessary.
Especially during multi-track recordings or live sessions, this saves valuable time and reduces the risk of overdriven recordings.
Maximum Connectivity
With 18 inputs and 20 outputs, multiple headphone outputs, a talkback microphone, and digital expansion options, the Scarlett 18i20 is ideally suited as the central audio hub in the studio.
Routing, monitoring, and preamp parameters can be conveniently controlled via the Focusrite Control 2 software – even remotely via mobile devices.
