The SSL 18 is built as a central audio interface for professional production environments. It combines 26 inputs and 28 outputs with high converter quality, providing ample headroom for recording, monitoring, and complex routing.
Precise Preamplification
The eight microphone preamplifiers deliver a large dynamic range and very low self-noise, which is especially important for quiet sources and demanding signals. The integrated 4K switch also adds a typical SSL coloration if a subtly compressed, analog character is desired.
Expandable for Larger Setups
With ADAT, S/PDIF, and Word Clock Out, the SSL 18 can be easily integrated into larger studio environments. This ensures the interface remains a valuable central hub even when additional converters, preamps, or digital devices need to be incorporated.
Workflow for Everyday Use
Two headphone outputs, extensive monitor and line outputs, and control via SSL 360° facilitate daily use. This makes the interface not only technically strong but also practical for producers, sound engineers, and project studios with high demands for clarity and reliability.
